Ventrill found envy over the prowess and might of the warrior Sephrum—such emotion was unknown to the Majestae. He endlessly sought to overcome his perceived enemy, through the tidings of bloodshed. It was only a matter of time before the fancy of war caught his eye.
Ventrill was chosen to oversee the Place of Knowledge, and so he too was given the gift of fellow to help fulfill this role. In a terrible vengeance, Ventrill broke down the will and strength of his kin, and through a vicious tournament, found others to take their place. Two were chosen as his right and left hand. Two he had created. He took the name of Rigour, and called his underlings Algour and Vigour—and the three were known as the Mortiz Brothers. They waged war against Evme, the guardian and protector of the Majestae, but failed, and fled back to their domicile. Evme stripped the brothers of the ability to guide the Majestae of Camilla to the Place of Knowledge. They tricked and toiled, and many were passed into the underworld. Alas, by the will the Majestae, and the festering hatred of Ventrill, the Ethereal Strife was born.

Aside from the Ixiold—mortal elemental manipulation—Evme also placed a protective barrier around Camilla, in hopes of defending the innocent from the battle of the Cosmos. A battle for the control of Camilla.
Ventrill was labeled a traitor—the Anti-God—and he was kept at length from the great rock. However, Tyrin-Ghali and his kin had no knowledge of Ventrill's underlings, leaving Camilla defenceless in this regard. Algour and Vigour were to create the evils of the lands, and impose the fear of passing on the will of the mortals. They gave birth to greed, envy, hatred—all the horrible acts of the fallen.
Alas, as if by destiny, the Mortiz Brothers were able to hide an ancient tome on Camilla. Myth and legend sparked like wild flames—finally finding its place in the hands of an ancient mortal. The tome was part of a greater plot of trickery through the act of unspeakable evil. A mortal would be given the chance to switch their place on Camilla for Ventrill's—for the throne atop the Place of Knowledge. The tome stayed hidden as if by its own will, and many lifetimes passed before the gathering winds and the knowledge of Evme discovered its existence. By this time, it was too late. Ventrill was on Camilla, and in a moment of desperation, Tyrin-Ghali called for a sacrificial spell that would return the Anti-God to the dust, and his essence would forever vanish. Mortals, chosen as prophets, would have to discover the spell on their own, and they must choose to sacrifice themselves for the better of Camilla. The idea of blood-sacrifice, which the Majestae, and most of all Tyrin-Ghali, detested, was only the means of an extreme last resort.
